SPRTechnote

Semicolon No Longer Used as Delimiter for Entering into the Send To, CC and BCC Fields in Notes 6.x

Technote Number: 1160567

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# MHAC5VVSWU and has been
addressed in Notes 6.5.3.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.3 MR fix list (available at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus):

Template
SPR# MHAC5VVSWU - Semicolon's can now be used in the To, CC, BCC fields. This
regression was introduced in 6.5.

Workaround: Add the semicolon to the entersendto, entercopyto, and
enterblindcopyto fields: In the Field properties, switch to the third tab to
locate the Multi-Value Options property "Separate values when user enters".

Note: This issue can result in a "No Match" dialog in cases where the BCC
field entry from a saved sent memo is pasted into the To, CC, or BCC fields.
For more information, refer to the document titled "Names in BCC Field of Saved
Sent Memos Are Separated by Semicolons, Causing Delivery Failures if Pasted
into an Address Field" (# 1192803 ).
